The. Best. Moisturizer.
My skincare philosophy can be distilled down to my unconditional love of Cetaphil cream. It works damn good and buying a jar won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Believe me, before my husband introduced me to Ceptaphil, I was a high-end moisturizer junkie. Nothing less than Kiehl’s would touch my face, but even the thickest formula could not temper the dryness and flakiness of daily retinoid use. Even the highly regarded (and steeply priced) Skinmedica HA5 couldn’t get the job done. I thought I was just resigned to a life of embarrassingly dry skin… until I sunk my fingers into a fresh jar of Cetaphil.
It was like applying butter to my face- in a good way. It felt rich, went on smooth, yet wasn’t greasy. It soaked into my dry spots, my make-up went on flawlessly, and it kept my skin hydrated for the entire day. I could have asked for more from a moisturizer. Another plus is that it’s non-comedogenic, so my acne-prone skin stays happy and blemish free. It is the Holy Grail of moisturizers and beloved by dermatologists everywhere. Trust me, don’t knock it until you try it. And the good news is, you don't have to break the bank to get yourself a jar.
In my ideal world, all products should be both this effective and affordable. For any products reviewed on AEGMORA, they will be judged according to the Cetaphil gold standard. Stay tuned for more real talk!
