True words of wisdom from the "Svengali of the Skin."  Although considered a quack by the medical establishment, he was THE celebrity dermatologist to the who's who of the mid-20th century: the Duchess of Windor, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn, to name a few.  This 1967 LIFE magazine article documents Erno Laszlo and his Fifth Avenue practice and I couldn't help but notice the eerie similarities to today's cult skin care gurus.  It's worth a read, if not for his descriptions of Greta Garbo's skin and his own skin regime that requires washing his face 90 times (!).  Can't say I agree with his methods, but I do appreciate his work ethic when it comes to gorgeous skin.
